Our Story
The name Mhoon was born from a life deeply loved and deeply missed.
In April 2020, our daughter and sister, Mari Hoon, lost her life in a tragic accident. In the midst of grief, our family chose to build something meaningful in her honour, something that would stand for care, responsibility, and integrity.
Mhoon Chickens exists as part of that legacy.
Her name reminds us daily that life is fragile, that responsibility matters, and that what we build should stand for something beyond profit.
How We Operate
We work across South Africa, supplying poultry to buyers who are serious about building sustainable egg and poultry operations.
While we farm on a smaller scale ourselves, we work closely with larger commercial suppliers to ensure consistent access and structured distribution. This allows us to help resellers and farmers access supply in a way that supports affordability and long-term planning.
We operate largely as a poultry brokerage, connecting structured supply to responsible buyers.
Delivery is available across most of the country, and collection is available from our farm in Krugersdorp.

We believe poultry farming can create opportunity.
Our goal is to see structured supply networks grow across South Africa, helping resellers operate weekly, helping new farmers start correctly, and helping communities access affordable food.

Visit or Collect from Our Farm
Mhoon Chickens is based in Honingklip, Krugersdorp, Gauteng.
Collection can be arranged directly from the farm for confirmed orders. We encourage buyers to communicate in advance so that logistics and handling are properly coordinated.
As we work with structured supply and bulk quantities, planning ahead ensures smoother collection and transport.
